Bésame Punk was a sign of good things to come.  The gig came about as a collaborative effort headed by LA’s busy booker, Randy and his Gravity Bookings, along with Sweaty Palms Promotions and ourselves.  Somehow the venue, Club Bahia – Echo Park’s historic, long standing Cumbia/Latin dance club – was on lock for us as they were interested in trying out some new programming at the venue.

The idea was simple – the three of us thrown down ideas for bands and see what sticks.  The results were a fun, eclectic mix of some of SoCal’s finest hardworking bands.  Once our own Cool-Tite Crystal drew up a rad flier, we were in business!

In addition to Cool-Tite trading shifts in the DJ booth with Surfbort‘s Dani Miller, we brought in wild boi’s The Cigarette Bums who had previously played our anniversary party, and who once again brought the house down.  They were joined by Simi Valley rockers Cheridomingo, Wiener Records’ post-punks Cruel Reflections, and I.E. psych rockers Paco & The Tacos.  We are thankful to everyone who came out and to everyone involved. Cheers to good times!
