Meatbodies are currently on the road to promote their latest album, ALICE. If you haven’t heard it, we seriously recommend it… if heavy psych and Sabbath-esque jams are what you’re in to. The album is self described as a “‘heavy-pop’ concept, metal on molly,” which is pretty accurate. You can pick it up over at In The Red on magenta colored vinyl, if you’re lucky.
We caught them at the beginning of their tour on a Sunday at Non Plus Ultra with Flat Worms and Prettiest Eyes, who were also amazing. Non Plus Ultra is a local, DIY space and the perfect scene for an intimate, get rowdy, floor level kind of show. There’s still time to see Meatbodies IRL! They play a few shows in Austin for SXSW and at the Teragram in LA on April 1. Check out our photos at Non Plus Ultra, while blasting ALICE (preferably).
