There’s a lot of tension going on over the DAPL (among many, many things) and a lot of the protestors are living through some pretty tough times. They need all the help we can give them, so when we saw a show with an awesome lineup, and benefiting a great cause we knew we had to be there.
The “Do You Remember Standing Rock? Benefit Show” was organized by Walter, and featured Traps PS, Wild Wing, The Paranoyds and ByrdDogs. All proceeds went to the protestors in Standing Rock, ND who are fighting to not have their water poisoned by the government and big oil. It was one hell of a house party that raised over $1800 and sent tons of letters to representatives about the oil pipeline.
When we looked up the place it was walking distance from our house, awesome. We had a few drinks at home before making the short walk over. Since it was a house show, I thought one battery for my camera would be enough, WRONG. I made it through 2 bands before my battery started dying. Regardless, these guys know how to throw a house party and we had a great time.
